Reset Password

If you are signed in, change your password under your avatar > Account Settings > Password.

If you are locked out, reset it from the server. There is no email reset, because Unbind does not send email.

Reset from the server

Connect to your first server and run:

sudo kubectl exec -n unbind-system deploy/unbind-api-deployment -- \
  /app/cli user:change-password [email protected] --password='a-new-long-password'

The password needs at least 8 characters. Sign in with it and change it again from the UI, so the final password is not in your shell history.

Forgot the email too

List the accounts:

sudo kubectl exec -n unbind-system deploy/unbind-api-deployment -- /app/cli user:list

Good to know

• Resetting a password does not sign out existing sessions and does not revoke API keys. If you think the account was compromised, revoke its keys and connected apps too.
• Anyone with root on the server can do this. Root on the server is root on your instance.
